With a natural curing period of 7 to 9 months, we obtain a ham with a deep and intense flavor. Our hams come from native white pigs from Castilla y León and are raised on farms using an intensive diet, based on natural and top quality feed from birth to slaughter.
Our Bodega Serrano Ham is ideal to taste on a plate or to eat with any type of bread. Its recommended pairing is with red wines or fruity white wines and macerated in barrels. One of the best flavors that we can find in our wonderful Spanish gastronomy.

Characteristics of Serrano Reserve Ham
Our Reserve Serrano Ham HsjGourmet is elaborated in a totally artisan way. This category of ham is one of the best categories that we can find in the Spanish market within the Serrano Ham family. With a natural cure of 12 to 18 months, we get a ham with a deep and intense flavor. Our hams come from the best white layer pigs (Landrace, Large White and Pietrain).
Spanish white pigs are known for their marbled meat and tender texture, which makes them highly suitable for making top-quality cured hams. Reserva Serrano ham made from purebred pigs tends to have a richer, more flavorful flavor compared to other types of Serrano ham.

Spanish white pig, salt, preservatives (E-250 and E-252), antioxidants (E-316) and sugar.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:
Flavour: pleasant and characteristic aroma.
Colour: characteristic color from pink to purple red in the lean part and shiny appearance of the homogeneous fat when cut.
Taste: delicious and slightly salty.
Texture: from the slice, slightly fibrous and without stickiness or softening. With thumb pressure on the layer of fat, it sinks easily.

RECOMMENDATION TO SERVE:
Serve in thin slices and at room temperature (preferably between 20 – 25 ºC). In case the ham is sliced, it does not need to be stored in the fridge, it will only have to be stored in a cool and dry place. You will know that the slices are at their exact point when they naturally separate from each other.
